Delivered new on 12 March 1964 by the dealer ‘Fattori & Montani’ of Rome, this E type 3.8 coupé has spent all of its 60 years in Italy, moving from Rome to Cosenza in 1965, then to Milan, Naples and finally to Padua in 2017.

Sold new in the original ‘opalescent gunmetal’ colour combination with ‘grey’ interior, it spent its first years in its standard configuration.

It was deregistered in 1987, probably after several years of disuse.

Then in 1989, as confirmed by Csai and Fiva documentation, it was set up in the GTS configuration by the Nicodemi workshop with modifications such as the tank, rollbar and sports seats, but retaining the original bodywork lines.

Over the years it lost its  factory original engine block, probably due to some breakage, which was replaced with one from the same period and model.

From 2009 to 2012 it took part in various competitions, winning the Italian hillclimb championship in 2011.

Today in excellent condition in terms of bodywork and mechanics, it can be updated to be entered again in vintage races, or even be an excellent starting point for a complete restoration project to bring it back to its original colouring and with the original number plate of the period.
